Admission Requirements & Policy

In compliance with ACPS Board Policy LC and Code of Virginia §22.1-212.6, enrollment is open to any child residing within the Albemarle County school division. Admissions are determined by randomized lottery. A waiting list will be maintained, and efforts will be made toward an applicant pool reflective of the overall ACPS enrollment demographic, as per law.

  • Required: General Information Form - Available December 5, 2025
    • Spanish version of the General Information Form - Available December 5, 2025
  • Deadline: Submit the General Information Form by February 20, 2026, 5:00 PM, for lottery inclusion. Late entries will join the waiting list in the order received.
  • Admitted Student Visit: In-person visit day for admitted students and families before decision deadline. 

Virtual Information Sessions

  • Thursday, November 13:  5:30 - 6:30 PM
  • Tuesday, December 9:  2:00 - 3:00 PM
  • Wednesday, January 7:  10:00 - 11:00 AM
  • Thursday, February 19: 6:00 - 7:00PM

  • Admission Form Deadline: February 20, 2026, 5:00 PM
  • Lottery Results: February 27, 2026, 5:00 PM
  • In-Person Visits:  High School Visit (March 12, 2026) Middle School Visit (March 13, 2026)
  • Accept/Decline Seat: March 27, 2026, 5:00 PM
Waiting List Admissions (As Necessary)
  • Round One: Notified by April 17, 2026, 5:00 PM
  • Round Two: Notified by May 1, 2026, 5:00 PM
  • Round Three: Notified by May 15, 2026, 5:00 PM

Final Deadline to Accept/Decline Waiting List Seat: May 22, 2026, 5:00 PM
